Dear RWDSU Local 1-S member,
Your votes have been counted, and your new leadership team has been elected to new three-year terms. On February 6, 2023, the new leadership team of RWDSU Local 1-S was sworn in at the offices of the RWDSU in Midtown, Manhattan. RWDSU President Stuart Appelbaum delivered the Oath of Office.
The new leadership team is comprised of President Felix Ocasio, Secretary-Treasurer Marc Singer, Recorder Alan R. Subervi, 1st Vice President Christopher Martin, 2nd Vice President Mike Jones, and 3rd Vice President Sherry Hamilton Elder. Serving on the Social Services Committee are Jesus Hernandez (Herald Square), Sandra Martinez (Parkchester), Debra Ryan (Herald Square), Joan Solomon (Herald Square), and Eddie Vasquez (Queens). Cameron Michael also joins our team as Business Representative.
The new leadership team is excited to lead Macy’s workers into the future. Together, we’ve made it through the COVID-19 pandemic, and we’ve come out stronger and more united than ever. As we head into contract negotiations, Local 1-S is depending upon the solidarity, strength, and unity of our entire union to bring us a strong contract at Macy’s.
The Local 1-S leadership team is here to serve you, and represent you whenever you have issues at work or when you have questions that need to be answered. Be sure to reach out to the team, or your shop stewards, if you need any assistance.

Sus votos han sido contado, su nuevo equipo de liderazgo a sido elegido a un nuevo plazo de tres anos. En Febrero 6, 2023, el nuevo equipo de Liderazgo de la RWDSU Local 1-S fue jurado en las oficinas de la RWDSU en midtown, Manhattan. El Presidente de la RWDSU Stuart Appelbaum dio el Juramento de Oficina.
El nuevo equipo de liderazgo esta compuesto de el Presidente Felix Ocasio, Secretario-Tesorero Marc Singer, Grabador Alan R. Subervi, 1er Vice Predidente Chris Martin, 2do Vice Presidente Mike Jones, 3er Vice Presidente Sherry Hamilton Elder. Sirviendo en el comitee de Servicios Sociales estan Jesus Hernandez (Herald Square), Sandra Martinez (Parkchester), Debra Ryan (Herald Square), Joan Solomon (Herald Square), y Eddie Vasquez (Queens). Y uniendose a nuestro equipo como Representante de Trabajo Cameron Michael.
El Nuevo equipo del Liderazgo esta excitado al dirigir los trabajadores de Macy’s hacia el futuro. Juntos, logramos navegar la Pandemia de COVID-19, y hemos salido mas fuertes y mas unidos que siempre. Como estamos entrado a negociaciones de contrato, Local 1-S esta dependiendo con la solidaridad, fuerza y unidad de nuestro sindicato para poder traernos un solido contrato en Macy’s.
